"How to Develop AI-Infused Formal Assessments" In-Person

This workshop will explore how artificial intelligence can enhance traditional formal assessment methods across diagnostic, formative, and summative evaluation contexts. Participants will learn to design and implement AI-powered tests and assignments that provide more accurate measurement of student progress, enable personalized feedback at scale, and support data-driven instructional decisions. The session will cover practical strategies for integrating AI tools into existing formal assessment frameworks while maintaining academic integrity and ensuring equitable evaluation practices across diverse student populations.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Design AI-enhanced diagnostic assessments that accurately identify student knowledge gaps and misconceptions before instruction begins
  2. Create formative assessment tools using AI that provide real-time feedback to both students and instructors for continuous learning improvement
