New Faculty Orientation (Sept. 22-Oct.3) In-Person

This new faculty orientation course provides an overview for all new faculty.  This course contains key information and processes for faculty, effective teaching practices and an overview of student support services.  This is a fully online, asychronous course.   This training is self-paced and completed through Canvas. The training consists of 8 modules and you have 2 weeks to complete all assignments. You will be added to the Canvas course shell the weekend before the training begins to review Start Here materials and course expectations.

By the end of this training, faculty will be able to:

  1. Describe LCCC's vision, mission and values. 

  1. Identify LCCC's Principle of Effective Teaching. 

  1. Recognize the faculty role and core responsibilities. 

  1. Distinguish student support services. 

  1. Locate faculty resources and support, including technology. 

  1. Use the syllabus template 

  1. Identify human resources and payroll forms and process.
